Walk for Lupus Now and Prince George's County Keep It Clean, Keep It Green Events

It was a perfect day for the 2nd Annual "Walk for Lupus Now" event held at Freedom Plaze in downtown DC.  Over 35,000 people in the Washington DC metro area are afflicted with this autoimmune disease.  It is 3 to 4 times more common among women of color and can attack any organ including the skin, lungs, heart, kidneys and brain.  Donna served as the co-chair of the event giving brief remarks and walking with participants.

It was then off to Watkins Park in Upper Marlboro to attend the Volunteer Thank You Picnic for all of those who participated in the clean up efforts across the county.
