Edwards Wins Re-election in Maryland’s 4th Congressional District

Dear Friends,

Rep. Edwards greets a volunteer at High Point High School in Beltsville, MD.

Thank you for placing your trust in me to represent you in the U.S. House of Representatives.  I take this responsibility seriously. Since coming to office, I have fought every single day to improve the lives of the residents of Maryland’s 4th Congressional District.  I will continue to work hard for you.

Let’s remember that this victory, and the re-election of President Barack Obama, marks only the beginning of the work that lies ahead.  I look forward to working with President Obama and my Congressional colleagues to move this country forward on behalf of my constituents and the American people.  With your support, we will work to create good-paying jobs, defend Social Security and Medicare, ensure students receive a quality education to prepare them for the 21st Century global economy, and protect our environment, including the Chesapeake Bay and Maryland’s other natural resources.  I am confident that we can accomplish this and so much more when we work together to achieve our common goals, and ensure the American Dream for generations to come.

Rep. Edwards fires up volunteers prior to polls closing at Annapolis High School in Annapolis, MD.

Finally, mark your calendars for my holiday party on December 1, at the Oxon Hill Manor.  We’ll be collecting canned goods as an “entry fee” in support of the Capitol Area Food Bank. I hope to see you there and thank you again for your continued support.
